We've pretty much reached the limit for how small we currently make cameras, because they still require a lens. But what if cameras didn't need a lens? Researchers in the US have figured out how to make a tiny, lensless microchip camera. It's just a chip embedded in a piece of glass, and a pattern is etched on the glass to allow the refraction of light into the chip. The data it receives allows it to create an image just like a photograph.
