      کچھ اسطرح سے وقت سے کھیل لئے ھم
      کہ اپنی ذندگی سے پہلے ہی جی لئے ھم


      ستم ، غم ، الم کیا درد دیں سکیں ہمیں
      جب موت سے پہلے ہی مر لئے ہم


      عجب عجوبہ سی ہے داستاں ہماری
      کہ ہوتی رہی چندا سے پہلے ھر رات ھماری


      قہقہے سناٹوں میں بدلتے چلے گئے
      سورج سے پہلے جیسے دن گزر گئے


      خواہشیں خواب ہوئیں ، خواب قبرستان
      امیدوں کے کفن میں سب جھیل لئے ھم
