      hamaare dil se nikloge
      to itnaa jaan lo pyaare
      wafa ki sirhiyun par har qadam phaila hua
      yeh aarzuon ka lahu zaaya' na jaayega!
      samundar saamne hoga, agar sahil se nikloge!

      sitaare, jin ki aankhon ne hamen ik saath dekhaa hai,
      gawaahi dene aayeNge!
      puraane kaaghazoN ki balkoni se bahut se lafz jhaankeNge,
      tumheiN vaapas bulaayeNge!
      kaii vaade, fasaadii qarz_KhwahoN ki tarah raste meiN rokeNge
      tumheiN daaman se pakReNge
      tumhaari jaan khaayeNge!


      Chupa kar kis tarah chehra
      bhari mehfil se nikloge?!
      zara phir soch lo jaanan,
      nikal to jaayoge shaayad,
      magar mushkil se nikloge!!
